Fripp Island Club
Ownership of property on Fripp Island entitles you to purchase membership in the Fripp Island Club, which is necessary to enjoy the amenities.  Please call the Club office at (843)838-1529 or (843)838-1528

Water and sewer
 are provided by the Fripp Island Public Service District (FIPSD) (843-838-2400). The office is located at 291 Tarpon Blvd Fripp Island, SC 29920 Automatic bank draft is available for direct payments of quarterly bills.

Electricity
Electrical service is provided by the South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G), Highway 170, Beaufort, SC 29902 (843-525-7700 or 800-251-7234). A deposit may be required before new services can be connected. SCE&G’s mailing address is P.O. Box 1168, Beaufort, SC 29901. Automatic bank draft is available for direct payment of monthly bills.
FOR SELLERS---- DO NOT TELL THEM TO DISCONNECT JUST GIVE THEM
PERMISSION TO TRANSFER.
FOR BUYERS--- PLEASE GIVE EFFECTIVE DATE FOR YOUR CLOSING

Telephone service is provided by Sprint United Telephone Company, P.O. Box 3348
Greenwood, SC 29648 (843-522-9404). If you are out of state, the phone company will allow you to request phone service and give previous telephone service credit reference by mail or phone (1-800-672-6242). It is advisable to request telephone service well in advance of moving into your home. Automatic bank draft is available for direct payment of monthly bills.
 

Refuse
Refuse service is available through a number of agencies. Refer to the telephone directory under "Garbage Haulers". If you prefer, you may take your refuse to roadside dumpsters located off Highway 21 on Lady’s Island near the airport, or on St. Helena Island (take the road at the Shrimp Shack). Recycle bins for certain plastics, aluminium cans and newspapers are also located on Tarpon next to the Community Centre.
